Yoga Teacher Training with Ann Averbach
Maui, Hawaii & Pisac, Peru
Re-wild your soul through a 21 day, transformational Yoga Teacher Training.
About the Training
Students who complete the Wild Soul Yoga Teacher Training with Divinitree Yoga School are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
The training is designed to give students a transformative, immersive experience and many students call it life-changing.
The Wild Soul training is an experiential yoga journey, a vision quest, and an epic adventure of self-discovery — into and beyond the self.
Divinitree Yoga School specializes in Vinyasa and Hatha yoga and teaches students how to design a class following the rules of intelligent sequencing. You will learn a breakdown of over 70 asanas with various modifications and variations to either accommodate newer practitioners or to bring flight to the practice with arm balances and inversions.
During the course, you will learn to safely and creatively design classes, find your voice as a teacher, and delve deep into yogic philosophy, anatomy, Ayurveda, and so much more. This particular course also involves an introduction to dream healing, herbalism, sound healing, Thai massage classes, and nature therapy.
You will study five days a week, have one day for an adventure to local beaches and waterfalls, and one day to rest, do homework, and enjoy the beauty of this remote part of Maui.
Yoga is a lifestyle and in order to teach, you first and foremost need to practice. This course is focused on self-inquiry and development and includes powerful manifestation work that will aid you in all facets of life.
The yoga on the mat is just the beginning.

Lead Teacher
Alexandra Carelli, MA
Yoga Teacher & Guide
Alexandra began meditating spontaneously at age 13, right around the time she began communing with psychedelic plant medicines. She began the practice and study of yoga at age 18, and ever since she has woven these tools through her life and healing work — an embodied, spiritual lighthouse that she can return to again and again.
In 2013, she completed 652 hours of training as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor at Mount Madonna Institute, followed by a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Divinitree Yoga School in Santa Cruz, CA. Since these early learnings, she has completed an additional 350hrs of training in vinyasa and restorative practices with Divinitree, The Wild Temple School and The Ananda School of Yoga & Meditation — as well as a variety of supportive healing modalities.
Alexandra bridges her spiritual studies with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy to create continuity within conventional therapeutic practice. Alexandra has dedicated her life to the proliferation of the healing arts, most recently serving for three years as the Executive Director of the YogaSeed, a nonprofit dedicated to trauma-informed yoga, followed by a position as the Executive Director of ShaMynds Healing Center.
In 2017, Alexandra co-founded ThetaSomaâ„¢ with her partner Anthony, an intuitive healing technique that integrates yoga, dreamwork, and ancestral healing into a journey through the subconscious. Together, they offer trainings, sessions, and mentorship in the ThetaSomaâ„¢ technique from their home in Nevada City, California.
Currently, Alexandra works in her private healing practice integrating dreams, psychedelic medicine, tarot, astrology, yoga, sound, nature and deep listening as pathways to awakening the soul. She is an artist, writer, and modern day spiritual mystic.
